Scan & Pay is a feature on the Tims app that allows you to earn and redeem Tims Reward points and pay for your Tims favourites with a single scan.

  • Add payment method
  • Switch on ‘Scan & Pay’
  • Start scanning!

Payment Method for Scan & Pay

A linked Tim Card, credit card, or Visa debit card is required for Scan & Pay.

Checking Scan & Pay Status

Tap ‘Scan’ and scroll to bottom. If the red button is on, Scan & Pay is active.

Earning Contest Entries

Make eligible transaction using Scan & Pay to earn entries. Each transaction earns 1 entry, up to 50 per day during the contest period (timhortons.ca/scan-and-pay-to-win).

Who can Enter the Tim Hortons Contest ?

The Scan and Pay Contest by Tim Hortons is open only to residents of Canada, aged 13+.

When does the Contest end ?

The Contest ends on October 15 at 11:59 p.m. ET.

Contest is divided into 6 weekly entry periods. 77 prizes available in total at contest start.

1 x grand prize, consisting of:

  • A 2024 Volkswagen Taos Highline vehicle (ARV $40,375)

76 x weekly prizes (1 to 35 available per weekly entry period) as follows:

  • 35 x ‘Movies for a Year’ with Cineplex Showtime Cards (admission for 1 person, once per day, for 1 year) weekly entry period 1 prizes, ARV $3,650 each
